日前， 伊頓公學(xué)官宣開啟2024伊頓Orwell Award獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金計(jì)劃！ 一場關(guān)于榮譽(yù)、金錢和學(xué)術(shù)的競爭戰(zhàn)即將打響！
對于很多中國留學(xué)生而言，英國頂級名校的13+入學(xué)考試已經(jīng)夠難的了，從眾多伊頓獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請者中脫穎而出的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)邆冇衷撌呛蔚葍?yōu)秀呢？

2024伊頓Orwell獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金正式開啟！
日前，伊頓公學(xué)已經(jīng)官宣正式開啟2024伊頓Orwell Award獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金計(jì)劃！
什么是Orwell Award獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金計(jì)劃呢？
Orwell Award以喬治·奧威爾的名字命名，喬治·奧威爾曾就讀于伊頓公學(xué)，并作為伊頓公學(xué)學(xué)生獲得過經(jīng)濟(jì)援助。 奧威爾獎(jiǎng)的獲得者在伊頓公學(xué)的整個(gè)教育過程中無需支付任何費(fèi)用，并獲得津貼，使其能夠在學(xué)校生活中發(fā)揮充分和有益的作用。
Orwell Award還有另外兩個(gè)部分，即6th Form音樂獎(jiǎng)和MCM戲劇獎(jiǎng)。每年有12 名才華橫溢的男孩獲得Orwell Award。
Orwell Award與許多其他獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金不同， 除了評估申請人的學(xué)術(shù)潛力外，獲得獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)還包括申請人的個(gè)人情況。因此，伊頓會根據(jù)特定標(biāo)準(zhǔn)對申請人進(jìn)行評估。
2024年9月入圍的Orwell Award申請現(xiàn)已開放。申請截止日期為2023年9月22日。
值得注意的是，除Orwell Award之外，伊頓還設(shè)有多項(xiàng)學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，優(yōu)中選優(yōu)，頒發(fā)給學(xué)術(shù)和綜合素質(zhì)都頂級優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生。

伊頓公學(xué)不同升學(xué)階段的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金設(shè)置有很大不同。
● 13+入學(xué)階段的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金考試包括：
King’s Scholarships；
New Foundation Scholarship；
Music Awards；
● 6th Form階段的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金考試包括：
Orwell Awards；
MCM Drama Award；
Sixth Form Music Award；
獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金考試難度更大，獲得伊頓獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的學(xué)生學(xué)術(shù)能力都頂級優(yōu)秀。以13+入學(xué)的King’s Scholarships為例，其考試的真題是這樣的（私信學(xué)姐微信： LiuXxue365獲取真題答案）：

英國私校獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，競爭激烈難度大！
英國頂級私校獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金要求都比較高。
尤其是如伊頓、哈羅這類聲名卓著的英國頂尖私校。
比如伊頓公學(xué)13+入學(xué)申請中的國王獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金（ King’s Scholarships）。 伊頓根據(jù)13歲入學(xué)男孩的學(xué)術(shù)能力評估獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者。每年大約有14名學(xué)生獲得伊頓國王獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。
伊頓國王獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金考試旨在尋找最有能力的候選人，因此其要求非常高。 大多數(shù)考試試卷都有廣泛的出題范圍，具有出色學(xué)術(shù)能力的男孩需抓住機(jī)會證明自己；考官熱衷于獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)表現(xiàn)出個(gè)人能力的男孩，即使只是有限領(lǐng)域。 每位獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請者必須完成幾篇必修Paper（目前為英語、創(chuàng)意寫作、數(shù)學(xué) A、科學(xué)和綜合 I）以及至少3篇選修Paper（法語、拉丁語、希臘語、數(shù)學(xué) B、綜合 II 和歷史地理神學(xué)）等科目的考試。
伊頓公學(xué)對于國王獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請人的 英語、科學(xué)等學(xué)科能力都有明確且細(xì)化的要求：
可見想要獲得英國私校獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金有多難……
申請英國私校， 申請者基本都需要參加11+、13+或者16+入學(xué)考試，僅僅是入學(xué)考試本身對于中國申請者而言也是很有挑戰(zhàn)性的。
英國私校申請并非易事，英國私校申請要求高，入學(xué)競爭激烈。建議申請者至少提前一至兩年開始規(guī)劃申請，為可能發(fā)生的變化空出準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間。
